Traditionally, when you wanted to give a loved one a gift, you'd get a box of chocolates or a bouquet of flowers. However, gift baskets allow you to give a gift that is truly personalized and unique. Many gift baskets are thought out and hand-made, and are usually better appreciated than a simple store bought gift or item.

Gift baskets also give the receiver a choice of mini-gifts, since the basket is composed of multiple smaller items. They will usually follow some type of theme, so the items enclosed compliment each other very well. Take for example: chocolate. If a person likes chocolate, instead of giving them a bar of gourmet chocolate, why not give them a chocolate gift basket? This way, they're able to sample gourmet chocolate from different suppliers or various countries.

Another example would be a coffee basket. It's possible that this type of gift basket might have smaller bags of gourmet coffee beans, allowing the receiver to try out coffee from around the world. To compliment the coffee, the gift basket might also include a fancy coffee cup or mug, specialized blends of cream or spices. Perhaps a bit of cocoa or sugar to add to your coffee. A coffee lover would definitely enjoy a coffee basket far more than a simple coffee shop gift card.
So, you see, the various combinations for gift baskets is endless. Do more than just buy a simple gift. Give a gift that shows that you've thought out the gift. It'll definitely bring a smile to their face!
